There is always so much to do and see during the holiday season. There are presents to be wrapped, cookies to be baked, carols to be sung, and parades to watch and participate in. On Saturday, December 2nd, HarborLight Credit Union was proud to join the other 50+ groups and participants for the 65th annual White Lake Christmas parade. It was a family affair as most of our employees, their spouses, kids, grandkids, and dogs spent the afternoon giving back to our community and having a great time.
The kids all had such an amazing time that it was hard for them to contain their excitement when it came time to pass out candy. Even though we’re not supposed to throw candy from the float, our little friends always have a hard time following that rule. Those of us who were walking managed to avoid any serious injuries from flying tootsie rolls and laffy taffy. Besides the substantial amount of candy, we also had hot cocoa mix to pass out.
All in all, it was a great day for a parade. Even though there was a chill in the air, the sun was shining and we couldn’t have asked for a better day to kick off the Christmas season.
